Mitron Oy proudly announces the supply of the 1000th display for Swedish Rail Administration - Banverket. Since 2002 Mitron has regularly manufactured and supplied passenger information displays for Banverket. Displays, based on LCD technology, have been installed at about 250 railway stations around the country. During this eight years period LCD display technology has proved its excellent suitability and durability in the harsh Nordic environments. Since the supply of the fist display, Mitron's cooperation partner has been Swarco Mizar AB.
The cooperation with Banverket opened Mitron international railway markets and after 2002 Mitron has supplied passenger information displays for several European railways as well as for city traffic applications. High technology and quality requirements of Banverket have increased Mitron's special know-how and expertise in display technologies.
